Does the UAR start bloodlines?

The UAR single registration application does not start bloodlines
but it can assist with documenting a family tree or bloodline. One of
the UAR's main purposes is to document and record all captive avian species
essential information and maintain that information one all-inclusive
database for the benefit of serious aviculturist, pet owners and the bird

This information can be used to establish or better captive breeding

7.
What is a Pedigree?

A pedigree is the family tree or the genealogical history of a
bird. A UAR certified pedigree will show the parents, grand parents, and great grandparents, up to several generations back.
United Avian Registry certified pedigrees are invaluable to determine which breedings will produce the best offspring or results based on the genetic background of each
bird and the dominate traits of their particular genealogical
history. The United
Avian Registry can issue certified pedigrees for 3 or 4 generations of ancestry on most UAR registered
birds. A UAR certified pedigree may be ordered at the time of registration of your
bird (providing the information is available) or at a later date.
